The BookWorms

Welcome to the web page for the YWI’s second book group.  We formed in January 2014 and currently have eleven members: Cat, Jackie, Sue, Anne, Trudi, Marita, Catherine, Liz, Marion, Louise and Claire. Our members live in a variety of locations including East Grinstead and Edenbridge but access to a car isn’t necessarily essential to attend our meetings as we try to lift share where possible.  When we formed the group we were anxious not to fall into the trap of reading similar books currently being promoted in the press or the like each month so we set a list of categories to choose from each month; thus ensuring we get a variety of literature to read throughout the year.  The categories which cycle through the list of members is as follows: Historical fiction, Modern/Contemporary fiction, Science fiction/Fantasy, Non-fiction, Classics, Thriller, and Free Choice.  We usually meet every 6 weeks on a Thursday evening.  If you would like to join our group please contact us on ywidormansland@outlook.com and title your mail ‘Bookworms group enquiry’.

We are currently reading “The Observations” by Jane Harris. We meet next on  Thursday 21st January at Louise’s house, or more than likely via Zoom
